JoAnne Treaster, 76, of New London, passed away at 5:56 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

JoAnne Treaster, 76, of New London, passed away at 5:56 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Terry Burke will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

JoAnne was born June 23, 1941, in Hannibal to Clarence A. and Elsie M. Thompson Brothers.

She was married to Charles E. Treaster on June 10, 1960 in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1995.

Survivors include seven children, Brenda Shadwell of Hannibal, Judy Stout (Stephen) of New London, Tamara Harris (Steve) of Hannibal, Cynthia Brashears (David) of Columbia, Kimberly Stout (Rodney) of New London, Michelle Burke (Terry) of Liberal, Brad Treaster (Casey) of Hannibal; one brother, Walter Brothers (Vicki) of Saverton; three sisters, Juanita Record of Hannibal, Wanda Flowers (Jim) of Hannibal and Marilyn Pipkin of Hannibal; 13 grandchildren and one expectant grandchild, 19 great-grandchildren and two expectant great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Charlie Wayne Jagger; and her siblings, Harold Brothers, Carl Brothers, Clarence L. Brothers, Frances Brothers, Mildred Freeman, Irene Miller and Betty Duncan.

JoAnne was a homemaker and a retired cook.

JoAnne liked playing cards with family especially the game “Pitch.” Car rides in the fall to see the colors and boat rides on the Mississippi River were always enjoyed. A wonderful cook, JoAnne made the best fried chicken and vegetable soup. Most of all, JoAnne simply loved to be around her family.

JoAnne attended Adiel Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Stephen “Gus” Stout, Shaun Shadwell, Robert Brashears, Jordan Brashears, Braden Treaster, Ryan Brodhacker, Howard Morris and Brandon Whitaker.
