Larry was born July 16, 1943, in Hannibal, to John W. and Audrey F. Clossing Miller.

He was married to Donna R. Willis on April 9, 1976, in Hannibal. She survives.

Other survivors include eight children, Melody Johnston (John) of Hannibal, Jenny LaForce (Harold) of Hannibal, Timothy J. Armour of Hannibal, Carol Jamison (Stephen) of Quincy, Ill., Tammy Jo Caldwell (Brian) of Hannibal, Trenton Armour (Michelle) of Nixa, Tina Ward (Donnie) of Hannibal, Sarah Pritchett (Jason) of Hannibal; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marilyn Tharp; one grandson, Devon Ray Crabill; and one great-granddaughter, Tess Lynn Ann Lindhorst.

Professionally, Larry worked as an electrical maintenance man at Watlow in Hannibal. Larry had also previously worked at the Atlantic Steel Company of Hannibal.

Away from work, Larry loved sports. If he was not playing a sport himself, Larry was probably coaching or watching one of his children or grandchildren play. Larry was an avid bowler and golfer and also enjoyed playing both slow pitch and fast pitch softball. Larry was a St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.

The Fourth of July and Christmas were Larry’s favorite times of year. During the Fourth of July, Larry loved fireworks and often competed with his family to put on the loudest and brightest display. On Christmas Eve, Larry simply loved having his family around him to share in this special season. In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing and an occasional visit to the boats where he liked to play the slot machines.

Some of Larry’s favorite movies included everything from “Christmas Vacation” to “Star Wars,” while always having time to catch up on his cartoons. Roller coasters were another experience that Larry took pleasure in. In everything that he did, Larry simply loved sharing time with his family and those that he loved.

He attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
