Funeral services for Donald Wayne Couch, 79, of Perry, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry with Pastor Steve Barker officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery.

Funeral services for Donald Wayne Couch, 79, of Perry, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry with Pastor Steve Barker officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. followed by Masonic Services and the funeral service.
Mr. Couch passed away at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 4, 2018, at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Hannibal, the son of J. W. and Lila Johnson Couch.

He married Veda Turner in Perry on July 19, 1957, and she survives.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Kelly (Bill) Sherman of New London; one sister, Anita Ragsdale of Center; one sister-in-law, Verda Roth of Perry; seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Tanya) Leake of Lebanon, Dondi (Joe) Lyng of Hannibal, Josh (Brittany) Sherman of Hannibal, Ben (Kurstin) Sherman of Aurora, Colo., Bill (Kate) Sherman of Tacoma, Wash., Will Sherman of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Jamie Rector of Apple Valley, Calif.; and 15 great-grandchildren, Skylyr, Sydny, Shayly, Aidan, Liam, Hattie, Stella, Dallas, Ryder, Carter, Betty, Nate, Nora, Ruby and Rose.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Jimmy Couch; and one sister-in-law, Verna Levings.

Mr. Couch was a lifetime area resident and Christian by faith. He worked operating heavy equipment as a member of Operating Engineers Local 513 for 49 years including the Clarence Cannon Dam, Thomas Hill Reservoir and in the St. Louis area. He was a member of the Lick Creek Masonic Lodge No. 302, Perry Jaycees, and Carousel committee. He enjoyed reading, fishing, wood carving, woodworking, caring for the neighborhood cats and birds and spending time with family, going on walks and playing ball with the kids who knew him as Gramps.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Youngblood, Todd Roth, Brad Heimer, Tom Lima, Bryson Jarman and Blake Jarman.
