Arthur “Art” Stanley England, 72, of LaGrange, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Pastor Steve Barker will officiate. Burial, with full military rites by Boots-Dickson Post #174, will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra.

Art was born Jan. 26, 1945, in Cambridge, Mass., to Frank Huntress and Almeda Loretta Stackpole England.

He was married to Susan Ann England on Sept. 21, 1996, at Rensselaer. She preceded him in death Feb. 2, 2006.

Survivors include one son, Gary England; one daughter, Crystal England; two brothers, Herbert England and Robert England; four sisters, Marjorie Cummings, Phyllis England, Evelyn Ford and Sylvia Coffey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Art was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, working as an autopilot technician. Following his time serving, he owned and operated Art's TV Service in Marysville, Calif. He also worked as an industrial maintenance electrician for the Allied Plant Maintenance Company in Rocklin, Calif. Most recently, he worked for BASF as a project manager for a subcontractor.

Art was Christian by faith.

He enjoyed music and was an avid guitar player. He also loved his dogs, Joey and Gabe.
