Kirk L. “Bear” Crockett, 61, of Hannibal, passed away at 2:33 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Lindell Robbins will officiate.

Friends and family are invited to Kirk's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Kirk was born June 3, 1956, in Hannibal, to David L. Crockett and Betty J. Gray Osborne.

Survivors include his mother, Betty J. Osborne of Hannibal, and father, David L. Crockett of Chicago, Ill., his special friend of 28 years, Kelly White; three children, Nicole Griffie of Hannibal, Amber Crockett Randall (Leon) of Hannibal and Kylee Crockett of Hannibal; and his namesake, Kirk L. Crockett Hutt; one brother, John Osborne of Hannibal; two sisters, Carlita Crockett of Springfield, Ill. and Jorita Crockett of Hannibal.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jasmine Liddell, Jahayla Crockett, Lakiesha Allen and Ronald Allen III. Also surviving are special friends, Penny Griffie Miller, Consuela Hutt and Pamela Morris and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Alice Stacey and John and Gertrude Crockett; and an infant brother, David Crockett Jr.

Kirk worked as a custodian at the Hannibal Middle School. He had previously worked at Cosmoflex, Buckhorn and Watlow.

Music was Kirk's passion. He enjoyed entertaining and playing music as a DJ.

Fishing, camping and fireworks were also activities Kirk took pleasure in. The Kansas City Chiefs were Kirk's football team and he loved to watch their games. Kirk was a member of the Hannibal Jaycees. Kirk loved his family and friends and he would do anything for them. He especially cherished the time he shared with his children and grandchildren.

He was a Catholic by faith and attended Holy Family Catholic Church and Helping Hands Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Perkins, John Perkins, Donnie Caldwell, Kent Coleman, Kent Dade, Stuart Lee Hood, Dennis Scott, Mark A Rudd Jr., Damon L. Rudd and Wayne McPike, Sr.
