Ila P. Anderson, 78, of Hannibal, passed away at 8:47 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at her home.

Ila P. Anderson, 78, of Hannibal, passed away at 8:47 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at the Apostolic Holiness Church in Hannibal. Brother Gary Legg will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Ila was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Hannibal, to Newton and Bessie K. Noel Wyatt.

She was married to Charles E. Anderson on Sept. 14, 1958, in Hannibal, at the First Church of the Nazarene Church. He survives.

Other survivors include three children, Cathy Anderson of Hannibal, Cara Smith (Joe) of Bettendorf, Iowa and Charles “Chuck” Anderson (Robyn) of Perry; one son-in-law, Ronnie Christensen; 10 grandchildren, Darrell Pritchett (Kelli), Jonna White (Shawn), Brandon Anderson (Angelica), Courtney Bowen (Michael), Josh Christensen, Melissa Rashid (Jason), Amanda Sharpe (Ben), Jessica Thomure (Matt), Shane Anderson (Kelli) and Emily Kite (Chris); 16 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy L. Christensen; two brothers and one sister.

Ila worked as a cook at several restaurants in the Hannibal area including Taco King, Cassano's and the Mark Twain Dinette.

Away from work, Ila enjoyed her soap operas, reading mysteries and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a wonderful baker and always made her family delicious trays of homemade Christmas candies. Simple car rides through Riverview Park and to the Hannibal Riverfront were always enjoyed. Most of all, Ila cherished time shared with family.

Ila attended the Apostolic Holiness Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Anderson, Shane Anderson, Darrell Pritchett, Josh Christensen, Caden White and Shawn White.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ila's great-grandchildren.
