Blanche Dean Perkins Booker, 92, of Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Blanche Dean Perkins Booker, 92, of Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.  The family was served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.

Visitation was from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Blanche was born April 6, 1924, in Hannibal, Mo., to Everett E. and Blanche Violet Moore Perkins.

She first married Milton E. "Red" Harper Sr., and they divorced in 1962. She later married Richard M. Booker on Dec. 23, 1967. He preceded her in death in 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Michael L. Harper (Mary) of Hannibal, Mo., and David G. Harper (Ruthann) of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter, Deana Rae Harper Mahon (Wayne) of Hannibal, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Deanna Harper of Columbia, Mo.; one sister, Ethlyn Moore of Hannibal, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Joe Harper (Jill), Sara Prochaska (Kevin), Michael B. Harper, Tammy Nix (Dave), Pamela Pickett (Scott), Samantha Travis, Christina Ogden, Jody Ogden, David E.E. Harper (Patty), Jeffrey Byler (Kelly) and Bob Peery (Brooke); 20 great-grandchildren, Zak Ogden, Zane Ogden, Abby Reed, Savannah Nix, Hailey Nix, Tanner Nix, Jonathan Zerbonia, Raquel Zerbonia, Seth Pickett, Sarah Travis, Katelynn Travis, Samuel Travis, Cara Boone (Jeff), Zach Byler, Alexis Perry, Ellie Perry, Nicholas Harper, Benjamin Harper, Jack Harper and Benjamin Milton Harper; three great-great-grandchildren, Channing Boone, Liam Boone and Cora Boone; four nephews, John Moore, Jim Moore, George Perkins and Dan Perkins; and one niece, Tommi Sue.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Everett Perkins and Glenn Arthur Perkins; one son, Milton E. Harper; and one great-grandson, Alec Ogden.

Blanche was raised on the old family farm on James Road and returned to live there in 1993.

Blanche graduated from Hannibal High School in the Class of 1942. She lived her entire life in Hannibal. She worked for 16 years at Watlow Industries. Previously, she had worked for the Hannibal Courier-Post and also 15 years at Western Printing Co.

Blanche had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church since 1949. She was also a Sunday school teacher at St. John's for many years.

She enjoyed reading, playing her organ and piano, singing and taking care of her many animals. Blanche played piano and organ and sang at various church and civic events around the Hannibal area for many years. Most of all, Blanche enjoyed the time she shared with her children and her grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Missouri Humane Society andor St. John's Lutheran School, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Jody Ogden, Bob Peery, Jeffrey Byler, Michael B. Harper, Joe Harper and David E.E. Harper.
