The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrest of Thomas A. Johnson, 33, of Durham and Ronald T. Herren, 24, of Canton earlier this week.
Johnson was taken into custody Monday and booked for domestic assault in the first degree, which is a Class B felony.
His arrest stems from an incident that allegedly happened at the Lewistown Ball Park during a benefit softball tournament on June 24. Johnson is accused of striking his former wife in the face, injuring her.
Herren was arrested Wednesday for financial exploitation of an elderly/disabled person, which is a Class B felony.
Herren is accused of illegally taking funds from an elderly aunt by making purchases with her credit card and through her checking account. It is alleged that he misused almost $9,000 of his aunt’s money.
Both men are in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash only bonds.
