On September 5, 2009, troopers will focus their attention to highways in Randolph County with a goal of detecting impaired drivers and other hazardous moving violations that contribute to traffic crashes.  On September 12, 2009, troopers will focus their attention on highways in Putnam County with a goal of detecting hazardous moving and speed violations.
“Even though Missouri has seen a reduction in traffic fatalities in the past couple of years, it’s very important to continue this trend,” stated Captain Elliott.  “Please concentrate on being a safe driver and never get behind the wheel of a vehicle after consuming intoxicants.”
