JEFFERSON CITY —
In recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day, Gov. Matt Blunt has announced that all flags at state facilities in Missouri will be flown at half-staff on Thursday, May 15. They will remain at half-staff until dusk.
“On Peace Officers Memorial Day we remember the men and women who have given their lives to protect others,” Blunt said. “Recognizing the need for good men and women to protect the innocent, they chose valiant service to make their communities and our state safer places to live.’
