Baker to introduce veterans’ health initiative Thursday in Hannibal

State Rep. Judy Baker of Columbia, candidate for the 9th Congressional District, will hold a press conference at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the American Legion Hall in Hannibal.
At the event, Baker will present her proposal to improve the health and care of American veterans.
“Our men and women in uniform have done and continue to do a great service for this country,” said Baker. “We must provide them with the benefits they were promised and not force them to fight as hard for their health care as they did on the battlefield.”
At the press conference Baker will outline her plan, which will include a proposal to increase access to treatment and develop a more robust behavioral health treatment program.
The American Legion Hall is located at 3819 Highway MM in Hannibal.
