The Hannibal Fire Department was called to a porch fire at 301 Sunshine Terrace at 1:56 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.
No one was at home, and a bystander saw the smoke and reported the fire on the wooden covered porch.
He had extinguished it with water when the fire department arrived. The fire caused minor damage to the porch and no damage to the interior, according to the fire department. The cause of the fire was not known.
