Arts/Quincy Riverfest is planned from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21.
The celebration will be in Quincy’s Clat Adams and Kesler Parks and will feature artists, crafters, food and live music and dance performances. There is no charge for admission.
Artists exhibiting work at Arts/Quincy Riverfest are not only competing for the Best of Show prize, but are also offering their art work for sale. Artwork in a variety of media will be on display, from finely-wrought jewelry pieces, to exquisite oil and acrylic paintings, exciting sculpture, garden art and crafts. Artists come from the local Quincy area as well as St. Louis, Chicago, Kansas City and more.
David Carter, who was awarded the Best of Show at last year’s Riverfest, will be returning with his artwork.
Children can express themselves artistically with a choice of free hands-on art activities, each a sampling of projects available during children’s classes offered at the Quincy Art Center. All projects can be completed quickly and children will be able to carry them home the same day.
