Beginning Friday night there is a good chance of precipitation in Northeast Missouri. The big question is whether it will fall in a wet or frozen form.
The National Weather Service says that snow and sleet will be likely late Friday night in parts of Northeast and Central Missouri and West Central Illinois. Some minor snow and sleet accumulations are possible.
Snow and sleet will be likely Saturday through Sunday night with additional snow and sleet accumulations likely.
The precipitation is being caused by a strong storm system that is expected to pass just to the south of the area.
