A Canton woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident Monday night in Lewis County.
The accident happened at 8:57 p.m. on U.S. 61 approximately a mile south of Canton, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. A 2004 Kia was being driven north by Nancy Macbeth, 39, when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered highway. The vehicle slid off the road where it struck a sign post.
Macbeth, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, was taken by Lewis County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
