Pike County Sheriff's Department awarded federal grant

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department has been awarded a $764 federal grant.
The money comes from the Department of Justice’s State Criminal Alien Assistance Program.
It will be used to reimburse Pike County for some costs of jailing undocumented criminal aliens.
Pike County was among almost 900 local entities nationwide to receive assistance.
