A temporary bypass will be put into effect on U.S. 36 near the Macon and Shelby County line beginning Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. The length of time the diversion will be in effect is weather dependent and a later news release will inform of project completion.
The bypass, which will divert traffic around a 3,000-foot section, is necessary to make permanent connection of the newly constructed lanes to the existing lanes in this area.
