A motion hearing is Nov. 25 for a babysitter charged after one-year-old Gaven Roth suffered a skull fracture.
Thirty-year-old Sheri L. Diehl of Troy is charged with felony first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities said Diehl told them the boy was injured while in her care on Oct. 5. Prosecutors had originally charged Roth’s mother, 25-year-old Billie Jo Lloyd, with felony assault.
Lloyd was freed after investigators said Diehl told them she left the house for a while and that when she returned, she saw Roth fall off the kitchen table onto a chair and then the floor. The boy has recovered.
A preliminary hearing for Diehl is set for Dec. 17.
