The Downtown Hannibal Development Corporation has changed the location for its Nov. 24 meeting.
The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 320 Broadway. The original location was LulaBelle’s restaurant at 111 Bird.
The corporation’s board is expected to choose a funding plan for proposed improvements in the area bordered by the Mississippi River, Grand Avenue, U.S. 36 and Bear Creek.
Property owners would then be sent petitions to vote on the option chosen.
The move is the first step in setting up a Community Improvement District.
Options for funding are a one-cent sales tax, a special property tax assessment or a combination.
