Blessing Hospital will offer two interactive sessions in January.
The first, “From Stress to Zest: How to Cultivate Civility in Your Professional Relationships,” is from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 5 in the hospital’s 11th Street Auditorium.
People attending will learn how to tend and mend professional relationships to diminish stress and boost the zest in their work life.
Dr. Kathleen T. Heinrich, a Registered Nurse, will lead the workshop. Dr. Heinrich is a twice-tenured professor turned consultant who helps nursing groups turn workplace stress to zest. She has gathered the stories of hundreds of nurses that tell how their joy has been stolen on-the-job and what to do about it.
On Jan. 6, Dr. Heinrich will lead a half-day presentation entitled “You Can Do It!: Turn Your Everyday Practice into Publications.”
It will focus upon anyone interested in publishing, including individuals in nursing, academia, teaching, and business.
The class is from 8:45 to noon in room 142 of the Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing at 10th and Oak.
Advance registration is required for both seminars. The stress session costs $175 and the publishing session costs $50.
Fees must accompany registration. For a form, call Blessing’s educational services department at (217) 223-8400, ext. 4830.
