One driver injured in Shelby County collision

Kristopher T. Mitchell, 33, of Columbia, suffered serious injuries in a collision at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, on U.S. 36 at Business 36 west at Clarence.
He was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital, then flown to the University Hospital in Columbia.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Macon reported Mitchell was driving a northbound 2004 Dodge on Business 36 and failed to yield at the stop sign, pulling into the path of an eastbound 2007 Volvo driven by William E. Steinkamp, 48, of Golden, Ill.
