Hannibal Hurricanes win their home opener

Hannibal Hurricanes hosted the first home meet of the season on Sept. 27, 2008.  Mexico YMCA participated in the meet.  “I’m very proud of all of the new swimmers,” said Hannibal Hurricanes Head Coach Kara Viorel.  “They competed very well.”
State times were achieved by a relay team featuring Rebeakah Land, Samantha Cockrell, Tessa Bieniek and Erin Allen (200 medley and 200 free relay).  State time was also achieved by Rebekah Land (200 IM), Erin Allen (50 free), Lane Kennedy (50 fly), Tessa Bieniek (100 fly), Dean Kennedy (500 free and 100 back), and Lane Kennedy (50 back).
