The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is extending the camping season for Mark Twain Lakes’ Ray Behrens and Indian Creek Campgrounds to Nov. 24. The extension is the result of visitors requesting camping sites during hunting season.
Hunters are reminded to to follow all safe hunting practices, leave a hunting plan with someone, be a responsible and ethical hunter, and be prepared for any problems.
There are approximately 45,000 acres of land and water available for hunting. The lake is surrounded with hunter-fisherman access areas. All “No Hunting Zones” posted around recreation areas should be obeyed. No off-road vehicles are allowed.
