A Bowling Green man will be sentenced Nov. 16  for bootlegging thousands of DVD movies.
Sixty-year-old Patrick S. Coughlin pleaded guilty to one felony count of copyright infringement. He faces up to five years in prison and fines of $250,000.
Authorities said Coughlin had 8,405 counterfeit movies that he made with a computer and two DVD burners.
The indictment stemmed from a call Bowling Green police received on April 22. The caller said a person was trying to sell pirated DVDs at The Movie Gallery retail store on Business Highway 61. The store has since closed.
The investigation, which was done by Bowling Green police and the FBI, resulted in the confiscation of bootleg DVDs from Coughlin's home.
