The following incidents were reported Sept. 12 by the Hannibal Police Department.
• Police investigated reports of loud music, unnecessary noise, animals at large, possible animal neglect, several disturbances, barking dogs, juvenile problems and suspicious activity.
• Traffic tickets were issued at Grand and Center streets, state Highway 79 and Center Street, Munger, 30th and Moonlight, Market Street, Lemon and Broadway, Third and Church and Pleasant and Shepherd.
• A suspicious odor was detected in the 200 block of North Seventh Street. Officers searched a home and located a controlled substance.
• Stealing was reported in the 4800 block of McMasters Avenue.
• After receiving a report of possible animal neglect, an animal control officer found a dog in the 100 block of Dowling did not have food, water or shelter.
• Police were called to several traffic accidents.
• Property damage was reported in the 2100 block of Pleasant Street.
• Stealing was reported in the 700 block of Ben Lomond.
• Property damage was reported in the 1400 block of Sierra.
• An abandoned vehicle was reported at Division and Grace.
• Illegal dumping was reported in the 800 block of Hill Street.
• Numerous vehicles running a red light were photographed at U.S. 61 and state Highway 168 and at U.S. 61 and West Ely Road.
• Property damage was reported in the 400 block of South Maple Avenue.
• Police were told someone took items from an apartment on Corporate Square.
• An animal control officer investigated a report of possible animal neglect and found a dog in the 1600 block of Vermont did not have adequate water.
• An animal report was investigated on Johnson Street, and the dog was given fresh water.
• Police were told a vehicle had run into the side of a building in the 700 block of Bird Street.
• Two drive-offs without paying for fuel were reported at 3906 McMasters Ave.
• Police were told a man was assaulted in a bar.
