A plea hearing is set for Dec. 4 in the case of a man who allegedly made a wild getaway from custody.

Rocklage, 25, of St. Peters, is charged with felony assault and escape after authorities reported he got away from a Lincoln County Sheriff's Department guard on March 17 while being treated at a hospital in St. Charles County.

Rocklage later was caught outside a Springfield doctor's office, where he had made an appointment after being injured in a car accident. Authorities said Rocklage was using the alias Michael Houston.

The guard involved in the March 17 escape had a shoulder injury. He was released after treatment and returned to duty.

Rocklage was sentenced earlier to spend seven years in prison for a guilty plea to felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Court records show Rocklage's problems with the law date back to at least Nov. 17, 2002, when he was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in Glendale.

He made his first escape from custody on June 6, 2005, when he eluded St. Louis police after a drug bust. He was caught a few hours later.
