Hannibal, MO —

A warrant was issued Tuesday, July 2, charging Cheri Denise Johnson, 20, of Hannibal, with a class B felony of first degree assault.
Her arrest resulted from an outdoor gunfire incident late Saturday night, June 28, in the 200 block of Munger Lane. No one was injured, and no arrests were made at that time.
Lt. John Zerbonia of the Hannibal Police Department reported the prosecuting attorney has charged Johnson with knowingly acting together with, aiding or encouraging others to attempt to kill or cause serious physical injury to another person by shooting.
The range of punishment for conviction of this Class B felony is a prison term with the Department of Corrections of Missouri for not less than five years or more than 15 years.
The police department previously reported officers were called to the 200 block of Munger Lane at 11:43 p.m. Saturday to investigate a report of shots being fired in the area outside the buildings
On Sunday, June 29, Cpl. Gloria Hobbs reported the police were continuing to investigate the incident, and there were no suspects.
Johnson was arrested on Monday, June 30, without incident.
When her warrant was issued Tuesday in the 10th Judicial Court of Marion County, bond was set at $50,000, cash only, and she remained in Marion County Jail.
