A Hannibal man who was wanted on charges in Iowa has been arrested in Quincy, Ill.
Twenty-nine-year-old Timothy D. Garland was picked up at 12:25 a.m. Thursday after Quincy police were called to 517 Harrison.
Authorities said Garland was wanted on drug charges and a probation violation in Muscatine County, Iowa.
Records show that Garland and a Hannibal woman, 25-year-old Kimberly N. Young, were arrested May 10, 2008, after authorities said marijuana was found in their vehicle during a traffic stop along U.S. 61 in Muscatine.
Investigators said they found more than 282 grams of pot in five baggies inside the vehicle.
Garland pleaded guilty two months later to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to two years of probation and a $315 fine.
Young pleaded guilty to a controlled substance violation and child endangerment. Authorities said she smoked marijuana while her infant was in the vehicle. Young was sentenced to prison by a different judge.
Missouri records show that last April, she was sentenced to probation in Marion County on a misdemeanor traffic violation.
Records show Garland pleaded guilty last February to misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia in Marion County and was sentenced to probation.
Iowa listed him as violating his probation there on Aug. 4, court records show. He was in the Adams County Jail in Quincy Thursday, but could be extradited to Iowa.
