First Christian to host Folklife Festival

Hannibal First Christian Church will be holding its church service a little differently for the Folklife Festival Sunday.
A special 1800s style outdoor service is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 at Main and Hill St. in historic downtown Hannibal.
The service will be a break from the ordinary, with classic hymns to sing along with, special music by a variety of groups and a casual, relaxed atmosphere where community members, booth vendors and tourists alike can join together in a spirit of praise and worship.
The order of service and copies of music sung will be available. Dress for the old-fashioned morning worship is casual; everything from jeans and tennis shoes to full 1800s attire is welcome.
