Police chief leaves for security job

Moscow Mills Police Chief James Partee has resigned to take a job with a security firm in St. Louis.
Partee, who has almost two decades of law enforcement experience, has been with the Moscow Mills Police Department since May 2005, and has been its full-time chief since July 2006.
Partee previously worked for the St. Louis County and St. Peters police departments and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
At Moscow Mills, he has upgraded equipment, added officers, increased the department’s involvement in schools and boosted enforcement of drug laws.
Partee’s resignation takes effect Oct. 22. A replacement has not been named.
