Hannibal, MO —

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama plans to open campaign offices in Hannibal and Louisiana Saturday, July 26. They are two of 23 offices that will be opened this weekend in rural areas across Missouri.
The Hannibal office, 313 Broadway, is scheduled to open its doors at 2:30 p.m. The opening ceremony at the Louisiana office, 411 Georgia St., is set to begin at 4 p.m. State Sen. Wes Shoemyer, D-Clarence, will be the featured speaker at both events.
In addition to Hannibal and Louisiana, other Obama campaign offices are being opened this weekend in Warrenton, Poplar Bluff, Bolivar, West Plains, Farmington, Marshfield, Rolla and Union.
Earlier this month, Obama backers said the campaign was tripling its paid staff in Missouri to 150.
As of July 9, the campaign of Republican presidential candidate John McCain said it would have 12 to 14 full-time staff in 10 offices around Missouri.
