Five applications have been submitted for Missouri’s one remaining casino license, but none are from the northeast part of the state.
The Gaming Commission plans to name a finalist by the end of the year. The five applications came were for St. Louis, Spanish Lake, Cape Girardeau and two for Sugar Creek.
Development officials in Louisiana at one time had considered applying for a license, but dropped the plans.
