Hannibal High School students of the month of October have been honored.

Hannibal High School students of the month of October have been honored.

They are

• Ninth grade – Claire Martinson is the daughter of Brian and Julie Martinson. She is a member of the Key Club, Student Council, Band, Immanuel Baptist Church Youth Group and First Christian Church Handbell Choir. She was a Joseph Baldwin Academy nominee. Her motivation for success in school is getting into a good college. She was a 2017-2018 Becky. Her hobbies are playing piano and percussion and babysitting. Her goals include maintaining straight As in high school and attending college.

• Tenth grade – Mason Latta is the son of Jonna Coons. He is a member of Clover Road Christian Church and the Clover Road Youth Group. He plays Hannibal Pirates basketball and baseball. He is on the Honor Roll. His motivation for success in school is to study, go to college and be successful in life. He has “never met a stranger and can talk to anyone.” His hobbies are baseball and collecting sports memorabilia. His goal is to graduate college in sports medicine.

• Eleventh grade - Lily G. Brewer is the daughter of Kara Brewer and Jason Brewer. She is a member of the Key Club. Her motivation for success in school is “family, friends and teachers always pushing me and motivating me to do my best.” Her hobbies are sand volleyball and drawing. Her goal is to get into a good college and be successful in life.

• Twelfth Grade – Elias Jay Worrell is the son of Harry Worrell. He is a member of Future Farmers of America. His motivation for success in school is the B.E.S.T. Program and interning in Environmental Services. He is a volunteer fireman. His hobbies are working on the farm, driving tractors and hunting. His goal is to gain employment at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Environmental Services or Hannibal Public Schools in the Maintenance Department.
