After seeing more than 175 children last year, The Child Center Inc., a child advocacy center (CAC), announces it is moving its office to a new, larger space in Hannibal that will allow them to better serve regional victims of child abuse.

After seeing more than 175 children last year, The Child Center Inc., a child advocacy center (CAC), announces it is moving its office to a new, larger space in Hannibal that will allow them to better serve regional victims of child abuse.

The CAC in Hannibal, which celebrated 14 years in service this year and covers six counties in Northeast Missouri, will use its new space to provide expanded services for children and families. The new location will have one interview room, one therapy room, a larger waiting room for families, a therapy waiting room, a conference/training room, and will offer more privacy to families that will be coming to the center.

“We’re truly happy and excited to relocate to our new office space in Hannibal,” said Shandi Joubert-Kanz, Supervisor of Forensic Services. “We’re especially pleased to be able to move into a new building with significantly more space while remaining centrally located in our service area. More than anything, this move represents our continued commitment to creating a child-friendly, trauma informed space for our children and families.”

The new office address for The Child Center, Inc will be 8965 Hwy 36 West #2 in Hannibal, and the phone number is 573-221-2256.

The Child Center, Inc. will host an Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. The public, area professionals and the multi-disciplinary teams are invited to attend. RSVPs are appreciated.
