The Louisiana Lions Club will give up to 100 free eye screenings during Louisiana Country Colorfest.

The first-come, first-served event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Pike Pioneers Senior Center, 521 Georgia St. It is being co-sponsored by the office of Dr. Amy Knickerbocker, an independent optometrist at the Walmart Vision Center in Hannibal.

Knickerbocker is providing two technicians and a screening machine. The screening is intended for adults who have not had a checkup in a long time. Sight First, an affiliate of the Missouri Lions, will be checking kids at school the week of Colorfest.

The Lions have decided not to host the Duck Hunt fundraiser this year during Colorfest, but will consider it for the future.
