The Hannibal Concert Association (HCA) presents its second concert of the 2018-2019 concert season on Saturday, Oct. 6 featuring Dawn Weber, a classically-trained trumpet player from St. Louis.

The Hannibal Concert Association (HCA) presents its second concert of the 2018-2019 concert season on Saturday, Oct. 6 featuring Dawn Weber, a classically-trained trumpet player from St. Louis.

Dawn Weber’s Jazz Garden will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 6 in the Parker Theatre at the Roland Fine Art Center’s Parker Theatre on the campus of Hannibal-LaGrange University. Without a season or patron membership, tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students. Single ticket sales will be available at the door prior to the concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. or may be be purchased online at hannibalconcerts.com.

Dawn Weber’s Jazz Garden promises to be a fun concert that is a buffet of three of Weber’s St. Louis-based band projects mixing jazz, fusion and swing.  Weber, a classically-trained trumpet player and accomplished vocalist, left home at 16 to attend a performing arts high school in North Carolina and hasn’t stopped since. She is in high demand as an entertainer, composer, trumpet player and vocalist. Her performance is funded in part by a Missouri Touring Program Grant from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.  

Both season and single ticket sales will be available at the door prior to the concerts and are also available for purchase at hannibalconcerts.com.  Season tickets (which include admission to all series performances) are available for individuals ($50) and couple/parents with children ($100). Season ticket holders essentially pay only $10 per concert. HCA season ticket holders also benefit from free/discounted admission to all performances of the Keokuk Concert Association and Quincy Civic Music Association.
