Brenda J. Coffman, 58, of Holliday, and Betty A. Kellogg, 58, of Madison, suffered minor injuries in a collision at 9:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, on Route W three miles east of Monroe City in Ralls County.

Both were transported by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, they were passengers in a 2018 GMC Terrain driven by Rodney R. Coffman, 58, of Holliday.

Officers said David L. Wietholder, 45, of Liberty, Ill., was driving an eastbound 1995 Freightliner and lost control of the truck. It went off the road and returned, colliding with Coffman's westbound vehicle. The Coffman vehicle stopped in a ditch, and the Wietholder truck on the road.

All four occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts, and the drivers did not report injuries.

The Monroe City Police Department, Monroe City Fire Department and Ralls County Sheriff's Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
