A one-vehicle accident in Marion County early Thursday morning left a Palmyra woman with minor injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 12:40 a.m. on County Road 234, five miles west of Palmyra.

A 2005 Chrysler Pacifica was being driven west by 19-year-old Sierra N. Plank of Palmyra. When Plank swerved to avoid a deer the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road where it overturned.

Plank, who was wearing a safety device, was taken by Marion County ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
