North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) President and Chief Executive Officer Don Patrick has announced the promotion of Marissa Laffoon, of Middletown, to the position of administrative assistant for property management.

NECAC is a 12-county area not-for-profit social service, community health and public housing agency that contracts with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for profit organizations to operate and administer self-sufficiency service programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population. She will report to Property Management Director Anita Lemke. NECAC manages 1,100 apartments at 33 complexes in 15 Missouri counties.

“We congratulate Marissa on her promotion,” Patrick said. “She will use her expertise form dealing with energy assistance clients in working with people who are part of NECAC housing programs.”

“I like working at NECAC because NECAC has shown me what a true heart for helping people is,” she said.

Laffoon is a home schooled high school graduate whose previous employment experience includes work as a salesperson and as an employee manager. She is married and in her spare time enjoys art, Live Action Role Play and watching television programs. Laffoon holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
