An Iowa woman suffered moderate injuries Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Pike County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 1:42 p.m., Aug. 27, on U.S. 61 at Route NN.

The accident reportedly occurred when a 2010 Honda CRV, operated by 76-year-old Mary E. Grundmeier of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, attempted to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. 61 and pulled into the path of a 1990 Mack truck, operated by 50-year-old Christopher R. Barber of Mount Carmel, Ill., which struck the Honda.

Grundmeier, who was wearing a safety device, was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment of her injuries.
