Ralls County 4-H hosted their Fashion Revue competition Tuesday, July 10.

This was an event for 4-H members enrolled in clothing projects. Participants made or purchased their garment and then modeled it during the event. Judging was based on fit and style of the garment.

In the Clothes You Make, 8- to 10-year-old division, Kylie Miller modeled an off-the-shoulder romper made from butterfly patterned cotton fabric she constructed. Kylie received a blue ribbon.

In the Clothes You Make, 11- to 13-year-old division, Krayleigh Power showed off her cream colored worsted wool fabric with a band of navy at the hem of the sleeveless dress. She completed her outfit with a three quarter length sleeve jacket of the same fabric. It was accented with a navy color and band at the hem. Krayleigh was awarded a blue ribbon.

In the purchased garment, 14-years-old and older division, Emily Branham modeled her purple lace dress accented with a bow in the front. Emily received a blue ribbon.

Kylie, Krayleigh and Emily were chosen to represent Ralls County in the State 4-H Fashion Revue.

These participants faced challenges of problem solving and decision making to construct or purchase their garments. Communication with the judge was also crucial in this event. They needed to be confident and able to answer questions about their garments.
