Three exhibits will be featured in the Hannibal Arts Council (HAC) galleries from Friday, Aug. 10 to Saturday, Sept. 8.

Three exhibits will be featured in the Hannibal Arts Council (HAC) galleries from Friday, Aug. 10 to Saturday, Sept. 8.

A River's Treasure will showcase oil paintings of Missouri riverscapes by Lawrence, Kan. artist Nancy Lehenbauer Marshall, formerly from Hannibal, and St. Louis object artists Bryan Payne and Ben Bradshaw. Other exhibits featured are an open exhibit by area artists titled Reflections, which will feature work from artists answering the call to depict things shiny, mirrored, reflective or illustrating inner/self-reflection. The Photography Channel will display photographs featuring digital images with the theme A River Runs Through It.

An Opening Reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S Main St. The reception is being hosted by Friday Writers with featured beverages from Golden Eagle Distributing. The exhibits are being sponsored by IEC.

“The HAC Gallery Committee is very excited about the upcoming exhibits in our galleries. We are proud of the fact that we get to spotlight local and area artists on a monthly basis. We are fortunate to be surrounded by talents in so many art forms and to offer variety in our exhibits.”

HAC gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The HAC gallery is closed on Tuesdays and Sundays.
