A subsequent search of Ryan M. Thompson revealed an alleged large amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine and other controlled substances.

A Hannibal man was arrested and charged with a drug-related crime following a suspicious person report on Friday, July 27.

Hannibal Police Department officers were called to the scene on Hayden Park Lane shortly after 6 a.m.

Callers reported the subject, who was wearing ripped jean and a motorcycle helmet, was walking around houses looking in windows. Officers made contact with the subject, Ryan M. Thompson, 35, and placed him in custody for detoxification.

A subsequent search of Thompson revealed an alleged large amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine and other controlled substances.

Thompson was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Marion County Jail. Later that day, he was charged with a Class C felony of delivery of a controlled substance.

He is scheduled for an arraignment in front of Judge John Jackson on Friday, Aug. 3.
