A Hannibal woman is incarcerated in the Marion County Jail and charged with three felonies after a warrant search was conducted Sunday, July 22 on the 2200 Block of Spruce St.

The Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of Spruce as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the search, officers located a large quantity of heroin along with methamphetamine

and cocaine. Nicole D. Fernando, 41 of Hannibal, and another person were taken into custody. It is the Courier-Post's policy not to publish a person's name if formal charges have not been filed. Fernando was arrested for deliver/manufacture of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and assault on a law enforcement officer. She was placed on a 24-hour hold and taken to the Marion County Jail.

On Monday, July 23, a warrant was issued for Fernando charging her with three Class C Felony counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class E Felony of Tampering with Physical Evidence and and a Class A Misdemeanor for Assault. Fernando’s bond is set at $100,000 cash-only. She remains incarcerated in the Marion County Jail.
