The newly elected Paris FFA officer team has embarked on our year of service. To start off the year, the officers learned about duties, expectations, goals, and began planning for upcoming events.
We have plans for a new activity during our FFA Rush Week — a Pool and Plot Night. Before we hit the swimming pool, we plan to do a crop tour of our FFA Corn Plot, where officers will lead instruction and discussion about raising corn. To help prepare workshops, Laura Long and Austin Plogger from Nutrien Ag Solutions shared their knowledge about corn growing stages and post foliar fertilizer applications.
Shortly after, the group jumped on a bus heading to Columbia. The officer participated in the BreakOut Columbia Mark Twain Museum Escape Room. After the team-building experience, the group went to dinner and were soon on their way home. The Paris FFA officers are excited for members and community to see what we have in store for the year.
