Colonel Sandra K. Karsten, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announced that Lt. Justin L. McCullough, Troop F, transferred to the Executive Services Bureau, General Headquarters in Jefferson City, where he will serve as the Patrol’s governmental affairs liaison.

Colonel Sandra K. Karsten, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announced that Lt. Justin L. McCullough, Troop F, transferred to the Executive Services Bureau, General Headquarters in Jefferson City, where he will serve as the Patrol’s governmental affairs liaison.

McCullough was appointed to the Patrol on Jan. 16, 2001, as a member of the 78th Recruit Class. Upon completing his training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop I, Crawford County. In January 2007, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated assistant zone supervisor of Dent County.

In October 2007, he began working as a commercial vehicle enforcement trooper. McCullough has worked in that capacity in both the Troop C, Weldon Spring, and Troop I, Rolla areas. He was promoted to sergeant in 2009, and designated supervisor of Troop I’s commercial vehicle enforcement operations. McCullough was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred to Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, effective Dec. 1, 2013.

McCullough was born in Cape Girardeau. He graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson. In May 2000, he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. Lt. McCullough and his wife, Stacy, have three children: Evan, Owen and Olivia.
