Miss Hannibal’s Outstanding Teen Rylee Ingram of Palmyra was the rookie winner of the crown group at the preliminary round of the Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen Pageant.

The Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen Pageant kicked off Wednesday night at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Mo. One local participant came away a preliminary winner.

The 27 teen contestants were split into two groups for the preliminary competition: the crown and sash group. Members of the crown group competed in evening gown and on-stage question. The sash group will compete in this portion of the competition on Thursday evening.

The rookie winner was Miss Hannibal’s Outstanding Teen Rylee Ingram of Palmyra. She is the daughter of DD Ingram and Mark Ingram. Rylee is a student at Palmyra High School. Her platform is Early Childhood Literacy.

The overall winner for evening gown and on-stage question was Miss Heartland’s Outstanding Teen Ashley Whipple of Chesterfield.

Preliminary competition continues Thursday morning with the talent and lifestyle and fitness portions of the competition.  The Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen Pageant will conclude on Friday evening with the crowning of the next Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen.
