Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick announces the following individuals were sent to the Missouri Department of Corrections in the month of May:

• Khaleel Watkins had previously been placed on probation for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device. He failed to abide by the terms and conditions of his probation and his probation was revoked. He was sentenced to two years in the Department of Corrections. This case was investigated by the Monroe City Police Department. 

• Jason Lage was convicted of Murder in the Second Degree and Armed Criminal Action following a trial by jury. He was sentenced to Life in Prison on the Second Degree Murder Count and an additional 50 years for Armed Criminal Action.  This case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (Amanda Sapp) and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (Chief Deputy Joe Colston). 

• Elaine Bryson had previously been placed on probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  She failed to abide by the terms and conditions of her probation and her probation was revoked. She was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections pursuant to Section 559.115, Rsmo. This case was investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
