On May 30, six Monroe City FFA Members assisted with planting Flower Beds at the Mark Twain South Spillway Overlook point. Members grew flowers in the school greenhouse in preparation for the event. Members started the plants from seed beginning in March. Six large planters were filled with color for the summer season. Plants included zinnias, petunias, coleus, marigolds, and vinca. Members in attendance were: Will Crain, Jake Forney, Sarah McClelland, Payten Shively, Marcie Turnbough, and Hunter Wilson.
