The Quincy, Ill., Bicycle Club has invited bikers to join a Memorial Day ride on Monday, May 28, in memory of Charlotte Goldinger, a retired Palmyra school teacher and an avid bicyclist who continued to ride during her leukemia treatment. She passed away April 14, 2016.

The Quincy, Ill., Bicycle Club has invited bikers to join a Memorial Day ride on Monday, May 28, in memory of Charlotte Goldinger, a retired Palmyra school teacher and an avid bicyclist who continued to ride during her leukemia treatment. She passed away April 14, 2016.

The ride will begin and end at the James E. Cary Cancer Center in Hannibal. It will open at 8:15 a.m. with a tribute and group photo, followed by an 8:30 a.m. departure. Distance options are 21, 32 and 39 miles. It will be $10 per person with donations welcome. All proceeds will benefit the Cancer Center. Helmets are required. It will be a recreational ride, not a race, to attract riders of all ages and abilities. It will have an organized rest stop, SAG service, at Immanul Lutheran Church, 6510 County Road 263, Hannibal.
